What to expect with lash extensions
Eyelash extension service is the process of placing one 2-15 fibers per natural lash to give you added length, thickness, and curl. Your set can be customized for a natural (every day) to a more dramatic look for a special event. We find that our clients with a sparse natural lash line look better with the volume extensions because the added fibers fan out to give the appearance of a fuller, fluffier lash line.
Why BTT is different
We do not use strips, clusters, or premade volume fans. In fact, Brow to Toe is one of the few places that makes customized volume fans just seconds before placing them on the natural lash. As you can imagine, this is a tedious process, however, our extensionist is a perfectionist whose attention to detail and training have made her one of the most sought out extensionists in the area.
Concerns about your lashes
Don’t worry, the extensions do not cause the hair to fall out. In fact, the extensions make shedding more noticeable since they are significantly longer, darker, and thicker than the natural hair. You can expect to naturally shed 14 natural hairs per week resulting in the need to get a lash in-fill/touch-up every 28 days.

We are just 45 minutes from base and can’t wait to meet you! We know what it's like to relocate and welcome clients who have had extensions applied by another lash artist. We do require those clients to schedule a consultation beforehand to determine if the quality of work is consistent with that of Brow to Toe. We only perform in-fills/touch-ups on extensions that promote the health of your natural lashes. To date, we have only been able to in-fill/touch-up on 5 of the 46 clients who had lash extensions applied elsewhere.
We want the most beautiful, healthy lashes for you, and in some cases that may mean removing your extensions. In the event of removal, we will need to wait at least two days before reapplying extensions. This will ensure your lashes are free of the removal solution which could interfere with your bond if removal and application are performed on the same day. AT BTT we want you to have the most luxurious,natural-looking lashes that will have people wondering “what’s new about you”.
Lash Extension FAQ’s
Do eyelash extensions hurt?
No, you should not feel pain during or after the process. In fact, most of our clients take what we call a “lash nap” during their eyelash extension appointments. It is possible to experience stinging if the eyes are not properly shut, which is why we advise against talking during the service.
Will eyelash extensions damage my natural lashes?
Our lash extensionist received basic and advanced training from NovaLASH which is one of the premium lash extension companies in the world. The goal is to ensure your natural lashes are in the same or better condition after the removal of the extensions. Our extensionist achieves this by using education and experience to determine the length/width best suited for YOUR natural lashes and using proper application techniques.
How long do eyelash extensions last?
You can wear eyelash extensions for an indefinite amount of time. The medical-grade adhesive used to attach your extensions, is intended to last up to two months; however, your growth cycle can result in the shedding of at least two hairs per day. With excellent care, you can expect to have approximately 50% of your extensions remaining at the 28-day mark. As a result, you are required to receive in-fills in order to keep your lashes lovely.
How many lash extensions will I receive?
We do not count lashes and aim to bond as many lashes as possible during your appointment. For best results, avoid caffeine, minimize liquid intake, arrive on time, and ensure you are not wearing eye make-up on your top or bottom lashes.
How do I care for my eyelash extensions?
Following the application of a full set, you will be provided with a post-care kit that includes instructions and everything you will need to cleanse, condition, and care for your lashes between visits.
Can I work out or go swimming with my eyelash extensions?
The NovaLASH adhesive is waterproof, oil-resistant, and is the strongest adhesive on the market for eyelash extensions. Prior to leaving the studio, your extensions will be completely cured which means you are free to shower, swim, or enjoy a workout.
Can mascara be worn with eyelash extensions?
We find that clients who receive fill, at least every 28 days, do not need to use mascara on their top lashes. Wearing mascara, especially waterproof mascara can shorten the lifespan of your extensions. Most mascaras contain glycols and carbonates which dissolve the adhesive with just one application. Additionally, the rubbing and pulling associated with mascara removal may cause the extensions to detach from the natural lash.
Will I be able to wear make-up with my eyelash extension?
Yes, but you should avoid getting the make-up on the extensions. We advise clients not to use mascara or gel eyeliners.
Will I be able to wear my glasses or contacts if I have eyelash extensions?
Yes, but your glasses may dictate the length of the extensions. As a precaution, we require clients to remove contacts before ever eyelash extension appointment.
