FAQ’s

What is ProCell ProCell Microchanneling?

ProCell Microchanneling is a revolutionary skin rejuvenating procedure designed to keep you looking and feeling young without requiring invasive treatments. Developed in America by an Aesthetician and Dermatologist, this special therapy creates tiny uniform channels in the outer layer of your skin to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin and promote better product penetration of topical stem cell serums. Clinically tested & proven effective at increasing collagen & elastin production, resulting in thicker yet softer younger-looking skin that's full of life!

What are the differences between ProCell Microchanneling and microneedling?

ProCell Microchanneling and microneedling are skin rejuvenation treatments that involve using small needles to create tiny punctures in the skin, to improve skin texture and tone, reduce wrinkles, and stimulate collagen. The biggest differences are the techniques and downtime.   Microneedling involves dragging the device across the skin, while ProCell Microchanneling uses a stamping motion to create channels in the skin.

Microneedling is often more aggressive and requires days of downtime increasing your potential to come in contact with bacteria. The average downtime after a ProCell Microchanneling treatment is 90  minutes, the estimated time it takes for the tiny channels to close.

How often should I get ProCell Microchanneling facials, and how many do I need?

Every 4 weeks. We recommend at least 3 for light anti-aging/superficial wrinkles and 6 for deeper wrinkles and scars.  There is no limit to the number of ProCell Microchanneling facials you can receive, as long as they are 4 weeks apart.

Is there any downtime with the ProCell Microchanneling facial?

Your skin may appear red for approximately 24 hours and feel tight after treatment. Some clients compare the feeling to a sunburn.  After 90 minutes, you can apply moisturizer and mineral make-up, be sure to use clean applicators. Avoid using harsh exfoliants, acids, and retinol for at least 4 days.

Is a ProCell Microchanneling Facial painful?

No, ProCell Microchanneling is not painful. Although you may experience a prickling sensation during the treatment, most clients describe it as tolerable. To maximize comfort during the procedure,  we use a topical numbing cream before beginning the treatment.

How long do ProCell Microchanneling results last?

Everyone is different; however,  with one treatment, you will continue to produce collagen and elastin at a more accelerated rate for at least 6 months. Keep in mind your age, lifestyle, habits, and how you care for your skin are all factors in your rate of collagen and elastin loss.  As a result, you should consider maintenance treatments at least once every 1 to 6 months after completing your series of treatments.
