Who is NOT a good candidate for this treatment?

  • Pregnant or lactating

  • Use of Accutane in last 6 months

  • Severe allergy to nickel

  • Pacemaker or heart condition implanted electrical devices

  • High blood pressure 

  • Blood thinners

  • Seizure disorders

  • Autoimmune diseases

  • Irregularities with blood supply

  • Slow healers

  • Botox within the past 3 weeks

  • Taking antibiotics

  • Taking antibiotics or creams/pills or products for skin conditions Glycolic/ Salicylic Acids, Benzoyl Peroxide, Retinol products to include: Retin A, Tazorac, Triluma, Differin, and Vitamin C)

How do I prepare for the treatment?

  • Avoid sun exposure and tanning. Sunburned skin will not be treated.

  • All skin irritants (glycolic/ salicylic acids, benzoyl peroxide, retinol products such as Retin A, Tazorac, Triluma, Differin, and Vitamin C) can not be used 10 days prior to treatment.

  • Do not take antibiotics one month leading up the appointment.

What can I expect post-treatment?

  • Treated areas may be irritated as well as red.

  • Some crusting may form on treated areas.

  • Scabs/crusting may last up to 7 days

How do I care for my skin post-treatment?

  • Do NOT pick skin, this may cause scarring or brown spots.

  • Avoid applying make-up, cream, lotions, essential oils etc.; to the area for 24-48 hours.  

  • Avoid direct sunlight immediately following the treatment.

  • Avoid steam rooms, vigorous exercise, or hot tubs for 24-48 hours following treatment.

  • Use mild products without alcohol when cleansing the face or showering

  • Pat dry vs. rubbing to prevent premature removal of crusting.

  • Do NOT use any form of peeling, scrubs, retinol, or bleaching products until fully healed.
